Game Recap

Hudsonviile won its final OK Red game against Caledonia at home on Wednesday, 7-2. The win (and a Grandville win over West Ottawa) gave the Eagles a share of the OK Red title. Hudsonville, Grandville, and West Ottawa shared the Red with 11-7 records. Dylan Berghorst pitched a gutty game going 6 innings, striking out 4 while escaping a number of jams. A pesky Cal offense had the leadoff hitter on base 4 out of the first 5 innings. Hudsonville scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th to take the lead. Mitch Ross led the offense with a two hits, a double, Sac, 3 big RBIs. His single with the bases loaded in the 5th proved to be the game winning hit. Also adding to the offense were Spencer Cable (2 hits, 3 SBs, Sac) and Javi Carrillo (2 hits, run, RBI).
