Kelli Jackson has left her mark on Hudsonville cross-country running. Since she was a freshman Kelli desired to be the best on the Hudsonville girl’s cross-country team.
It took her 4 years for this to happen. Putting in many miles of hard work; training
in all kinds of weather, including the bitterness and cold of Michigan Winters, Kelli
finishes her high school cross-country running career on top of her team with a
school record of 17:48.3 and a Regional, individual title. She is one of the top 10
runners in the state of Michigan.
Kelli was a talented freshman runner to start with. She placed 12th at the MHSAA Regional meet in 2011 helping the Hudsonville girls team to a 1st ever Regional D1 championship. She PR’d at the MHSAA State Finals meet running a 19:11 and placed 53rd in the State.
Her Sophomore year the team again were MHSAA Regional D1 champions.
She placed 3rd at the regional meet and placed 63rd at the MHSAA State Finals meet. Her fastest time this season was 18:37.5. She also earned All State status as well as Academic All State. During her 2013 Junior year the team again were MHSAA Regional D1 champions. She placed 4th at the Regional meet and 21st at the MHSAA State Finals. Her fastest time this season was 18:12.7. She again earned All State status and Academic All State. This remarkable team placed 3rd at the MHSAA State Finals and was ranked 18th in the Nation!
In 2014 Kelli finished on top being the number one runner on the girls team. She
broke the school record that was set just a year ago by Alex Berends. Kelli raced her way to an individual regional championship, the team placed 3rd and qualified for the state meet 6 years in a row now. Kelli finished 7th with a time of 18:00.4. She again earned All State status as well as Academic All State.
Congratulations to Kelli Jackson for these accomplishments.
