Who says bowling isn’t a physical sport? Jade Bentley proved it was as she battled through 6 games with blisters on her thumb. To make masters worse, her thumb swelled so much that her thumb hole had to be filed larger so her thumb could fit! Jade started the day off hot rolling 197 and 192 games. Her third and fourth games were not too bad either with a 161 and 181. She was comfortably above the cut line. That is when her thumb swelled and the blisters erupted causing her to shoot a 116 game. This dropped Jade to 10th place which was the cut line with one game yet to go. After filing the thumb hole larger, Jade got back on track rolling a 185 game in a pressure situation. This gave Jade a 7th place finish in the Division 1 Individual Regional Finals. Jade will finish her bowling career next Saturday at the State finals in Sterling Heights. Good luck to Jade!
