Girls Junior Varsity Water Polo, Girls Varsity Water Polo · Girl’s Water Polo Defeats Zeeland

The Varsity Water Polo Team continues to lead the West Region District 1 competition play with a 4-0 record and tied for leading the OK Conference with a record for 4-0. On Thursday they hosted Zeeland.
The Eagles had a strong first half  and ended the half with the lead over Zeeland 6-1. Senior co-captain Emily Tuttle lead the team in scores making 5 goals. Madeline Worst also had a strong offensive game and contributed 3 goals. Maddy Jones, Alaina Lubber and Kelly Peasley each also scored a goal to contribute to the 11 total points for the Eagles.
Defensively Junior goalie Annalise Patsiavos had 8 saves and the team had over 20 steals during the game.
With a very strong offense and defense the Varsity was able to win the game with a final score of 11-3.
The JV game team also had a strong showing for their game and beat the JV Zeeland team 11-2. Aubrey Buckingham, with 5 goals, and Claire Tuttle, with 4 goals, played a great offensive game. Julia Pestotnik and Lauren Phelps each also scored a goal.
Sophomore goalie Emma Lamers also had a strong defensive game with 7 blocks in goal! Claire Tuttle was also an asset on the defensive, leading the team with 8 steals and drawing 3 exclusions.
