Hudsonville Eagles JV Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against Zeeland East

  • The Hudsonville JV squad took the lead for good in the fifth inning to capture a back-and-forth game from Zeeland East by a 15-3 score on Monday. The game was tied at three with the  Eagles batting in the top of the fifth when Jordan Wenzel drove in two runs on a single. Hudsonville would go on to score 13 runs in the inning to secure the victory. In addition to Wenzel, the Eagles racked up RBI’s by an Austin Brandt single, a double by Brendan Ham, a double by Michael Sibbersen, a single by Payton Carney, a double by Brendan McManus, a double by Garrett Rice, and a home run by Wenzel in his second at bat of the inning.
  • Brenden Tockstein earned the win for Hudsonville throwing four innings, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out three.
