Eagles News · Hudsonville Swim and Dive Finish 10th in the State – Claire Tuttle Named Swimmer of the Year


The 2019 Girls’s season concluded with a 10th place team finish for the Eagles on Saturday, November 23rd.  The season ended with 5 All-State and 3 All-American performances.  This was the 4th consecutive year of top 10 finishes at the Division 1 State meet.  Led by their senior class, this season will go down in the record books as one of the most successful 4 year runs by any swim team in Hudsonville High School history.

The 200 Medley Relay team of McKenna Brink, Claire Tuttle, Natalie Fisher, and Rachel Maki finished 8
The 200 Free Relay team of Rachel Maki, Claire Tuttle, Natalie Fisher, and Sydney Kline finished 8th
Taylor DeHommel finished 5th in the 1 meter diving competition
Claire Tuttle was the state champion in the 50 yard freestyle
Claire Tuttle was the state champion in the 100 yard breaststroke, she also won this event in 2017 and 2018
Claire Tuttle was also awarded the Division 1 swimmer of the year.  Claire is the first Hudsonville High School swimmer to earn this award.
