Eagles News · Hudsonville Girl’s Bowling Wins State Championship

The Hudsonville girls bowling team traveled across the State last week Friday to participate in the MHSAA State Finals after finishing second in their regional. To qualify for bracket play you must finish in the top 8 of the morning competition which involves 8 Baker games and two team games. After the morning competition the Hudsonville Eagles were seeded 3rd going into bracket play. Hudsonville would face Midland in the quarterfinals and would beat them 1189-1101. In the semifinals the Eagles would take on the number 2 seed Davison and defeat them 1335-1250. This would advance the Eagles to the championship game where they would face Belleville. The Eagle bowlers would fall behind early and come roaring back to defeat Belleville by a score of 1149-1122. This would be the first State Championship in the history of our girl’s bowling program!
