Hudsonville Eagles Freshman coasted to an easy victory over West Ottawa Panthers 10-4 on Friday
Hudsonville Eagles Freshman fired up the offense in the second inning, when Brandon VanKlompenberg grounded out, scoring one run.
Hudsonville Eagles Freshman notched four runs in the fifth inning. Jackson Visser, Josh Aust, and Jackson Palmitier powered the big inning with RBIs.
Todd Raredon got the win for Hudsonville Eagles Freshman. He allowed one hit and three runs over five innings, striking out nine. Nate Avink and Jayden Timmer entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Vanderknap took the loss for West Ottawa Panthers. He lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while striking out two.
Hudsonville Eagles Freshman totaled ten hits. Matt Hoekstra and Drew Huizen all managed multiple hits for Hudsonville Eagles Freshman. Huizen and Hoekstra each managed two hits to lead Hudsonville Eagles Freshman.
Riley went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead West Ottawa Panthers in hits.
