Hudsonville Eagles Freshman took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Josh Slatinsky doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Drew Huizen singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Jackson Palmitier doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
