CHAMPIONS CROWNED! The Lady Eagles should be proud of their finish at the 2018 OK Red Conference Meet held at West Ottawa High School. Read further for a meet rundown…

*The 4×800 Relay set the tone early in the meet with a courageous 3rd place finish and a huge season PR (earning a medal was Haseley, Nibbelink, Frank, Gray)
*Both Ostapowicz and Mack made the finals in the 100 Hurdles with a career PR for Calli helping her finish 4th and Mack crossed the line in 8th earning 1 point
*Alexa Hartman made the finals in both the 100 and 200. Finished 5th and 7th respectively
*Melanie Helder started her big night off with a school record in the 1600 (4:54.95) finishing 3rd. She then went on to capture championships in the 400 and 800. Counting the 4×400, Melanie scored 27.5 points for her team.
*The 4×100 Relay team also medaled on the night with a new season PR. They picked up 3rd place (Mandryk, Stankiewicz, Lowry, Hartman)
*Elise Gray continued her strong season with a 6th place 400 Meter Dash performance
*The 300 Hurdles saw 2 lifetime PR’s by the Lady Eagles. Calli Ostapowicz picked up 4th and Sam Hinken 6th.
*Elaina Nibbelink ran her season PR in the 3200 helping her take 7th
*The 4×400 Relay (Herrema, Gray, Daggy, Helder) peaked at the right time with a gutsy 3rd place finish
*In the field events, Calli Ostapowicz was crowned champion in the Pole Vault with her 12′ performance. And Avery Bolhuis soared to new heights with a lifetime PR of 9′ 6″ helping her take 3rd in PV and earn 6 big points.
*Over in High Jump, Braely Herrema jumped to 2nd place with a clearance of 5′ 4″
*In Long Jump, Ostapowicz made it to finals snagging 8th overall
*In the Discus, the Lady Eagles picked up 6th and 8th (Kutzli and Peters)

Up next, the Lady Eagles travel to Grand Haven this Friday to compete in the Regional Meet with a chance for many girls to earn a spot in the D1 State Meet.
