Mackenzie Wiersma earns Academic All State in Bowling

Congrats to Senior Mackenzie Wiersma on earning Academic All State in bowling.  She finished with a 177 average on the year.  Mackenzie also excels in the classroom evident by her 3.8 GPA.  She will continue her education next year studying in the culinary field.

Girls Bowling Coach earns Division 1 State Coach of the Year

Congratulations to Casey Schichtel for being named Division1 State coach of the Year. His accomplishments are hard to ignore as his girls bowl in one of the toughest conferences in the State of Michigan. He has been coaching for 12 years and has 4 Conference championships, 2 Regional championships, 11 tournament wins and his overall

Kenzie Wiersma and Tanneill DeJongh Advance to State Finals

Kenzie Wiersma and Tanneill DeJongh advance to the bowling state finals next weekend in Sterling Heights.  Senior Kenzie Wiersma started the tournament off with an impressive 251 game.  She followed that up with a 224 and ended up finishing with a total pinfall of 1152 for 6 games (192 average).  This placed her 6th overall.

The girls bowing team bowled great on Saturday at Grand Haven but it wasn’t enough to out bowl Caledonia or squeak by Rockford.  The girls finished in 3rd place in a tight race between the 3 teams in the post conference tournament.  After tallying all the points, the Eagles finished 2nd overall in the OK
