Casey Glass Receives Coach of the Year Honors

Tonight I had the privilege to be at the awards ceremony put on by the West Michigan Officials Association.  During this banquet the Association hands out coach of the year awards for basketball and football.  Casey was selected as the girl’s basketball coach of the year in West Michigan.  The presenter  made it a point to say

This morning I had to make a trip out to the Breslin Center to bring home more tickets to sell.  As I approached the intersection of Harrison and Kalamazoo the digital sign out in front of the Breslin Center read Hudsonville vs Warren Cousino at 2:50pm.  How cool was that timing!  We are less than 24 hours

The girl’s basketball team defeated East Lansing tonight by a score of 40-32 to secure its spot in the Final Four at the Breslin Center on Friday March 18 at 2:50pm.  Tenacious defense by the Eagles kept player of the year candidate and Michigan State University commit Taryn McCutcheon to 9 points.  Clutch free throw shooting

JV Girls Win at East Kentwood

The JV basketball team got by a tough Falcon team today 53-48.  Skylar Scholten had 18 points to pace the Eagle attack, and Kendall Griffioen had 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Paige Smith dropped in 10 points, and Madelyn Hall added 8 points and 9 boards. The Eagle finish the season 15-5.

JV Girls Win at West Ottawa

The JV girls basketball continued their winning ways by beating the West Ottawa Panthers Tuesday night 36-22.  Skylar Scholten led all scorers with 13 points and Madelyn Hall added 11 points and hauled down 19 rebounds.  Kendall Griffioen added 8 as the Eagles saw their record improve to 14-5 on the year.  They finish their
