After enjoying a snow day at home, Hudsonville Wrestling traveled north to Cedar Springs for a double-dual against Cedar Springs and Loy Norrix. In the first dual, Cedar Springs jumped to a big lead, but pins from Braxton Sandee and Bryce Beam and a hard-fought decision from Austin DeSero kept the Eagles in contention. Trailing 15-33 after ten matches, Hudsonville needed big wins in the remaining four bouts. Gabe Rangel came through with a pin at 175 and Gabe Reinsma followed with a pin at 190, bringing the score to 27-33. Gabe Hernandez scored another pin to tie the dual with one match to go. Jay Kachur scored a pin at 285 to secure a 39-33 victory for Hudsonville. In round two, Hudsonville faced Loy Norrix. The team scored eleven pins and a technical fall on the way to a 70-11 victory. Those with pins in the first round came through with another in the second; Landon Evans, Treyson McIntyre, Zeke Case, Malachi Case, and Austin Eaton were able to secure falls as well. Jaxon Workman put up a ton of points to secure a technical fall. The Eagles are now 4-0 on the season. They compete in the Ottawa County Classic at Coopersville on Saturday, December 13.
