The Eagles had a quick turnaround from Friday night to Saturday afternoon to take on Walled lake United at Griffs Georgetown. Skating on fumes, and a stellar goaltending performance by sophomore Kayson Hammersmith the Eagles earned a 2-1 win over the visitors from Walled Lake to take a 7-5 record into the Holiday Break!! Walled Lake scored first in the first period and took a 1-0 lead into the locker room. The second period was all Eagles. Gavin Brandow scored on the power play with an assist from Chet Karasinski and Logan Kowalke and then it was Kowalke shorthanded and unassisted to score the game winner that would hold up for the remainder of the game. Sophomore Kayson Hammersmith made 36 saves in the win for the Eagles. The Eagles return to action January 2nd 7:00 PM at Griffs downtown vs Sparta and then home Jan 3rd 1:00 PM vs Detroit Catholic Central B team.
