The Hudsonville boys swim and dive team delivered a complete performance on January 29, defeating Holland West Ottawa by a final score of 178–134. Hudsonville’s depth across the lineup proved to be the difference, as the Eagles consistently placed multiple swimmers in the top eight of nearly every event while securing several key victories. Hudsonville opened the meet with a strong showing in the 200 Medley Relay, placing two relay teams in the top three. The “A” relay of Brendan Lawrence, Teagan Sorensen, Aiden Bayle, and Nolan Williams finished first, setting the tone for the night. In individual events, Hudsonville showcased balance and speed. The 200 Free saw four Eagles finish in the top five, led by Westin Wohlfert (2nd) and Kaleb Barricklow (3rd). Hudsonville continued that momentum in the 200 IM, placing five swimmers in the top six, highlighted by Teagan Sorensen (2nd) and Brendan Lawrence (3rd). Sprint events were a major strength for Hudsonville. Aiden Bayle won both the 50 Free and the 100 Free, while teammates Nolan Williams, Parker Smith, and Tyler Kurth added additional top-eight finishes in those races. Bayle’s victories were key point-scorers for the Eagles. In the 100 Butterfly, Hudsonville again dominated the field with five top-five finishes, led by Brendan Lawrence’s first-place finish, followed closely by Graham Sarber (3rd). The Eagles continued to rack up points in the 500 Free, where Teagan Sorensen (3rd) and Westin Wohlfert (4th) led four Hudsonville swimmers into the top seven. Relay depth proved decisive late in the meet. Hudsonville swept the top two spots in the 200 Free Relay, with the “A” relay claiming first place. In the final event, the 400 Free Relay, Hudsonville placed two relays in the top three to close out the meet strong.
