Eagles Stifle FHN 55 - 18 Junior Varsity vs Forest Hills Northern High School (55 - 18) Win The Eagles continued to improve on the season as they used stifling defense while taking down the Huskies 55 - 18. They only gave up four points in the second half! The team had 20 offensive rebounds led by Paige Vanslyke with 8 (11 overall rebounds). They also had 25 steals led by Sofia Beel with 6 while Jayda Ortiz and Olivia Hopkins had 4 each. While all ten players played significant minutes nine out of ten hit the scoring column. Sofia Beel led the team with 14 followed by Adde Ulberg who had 13. Brooklyn VanStedum had 6, Olivia Hopkins 5, Kyra Poisson had four and led the team with 3 assists, while Vanslyke also had 4. Rounding out the scoring with 3 a piece were Jill Kornoelje, Jayda Ortiz and Susie Sahtoe. The team travels to Coopersville on Tuesday for a 5:30 game after the freshmen game that begins at 4.
