Road Win at West Ottawa 51 - 34 Junior Varsity vs West Ottawa High School (51 - 34) Win The Eagles improved to 17 - 3 with a 51 - 34 victory at West Ottawa on Friday night. With the win, the team finished 8 - 2 in conference play. The team was very active on the defense with 39 steals led by Brooklyn VanStedum and Sofia Beel with 7 apiece while Olivia Hopkins and Kyra Poisson both had 6 and Adde Ulberg had 5. Paige Vanslyke was busy on the offensive boards with 8 of the teams 27 rebounds on the offensive end. She finished with 6 points. VanStedum led the team in assists with 6 to go along with 5 offensive boards and led overall scoring with 11 points. Ulberg finished with 9 while both Susie Sahtoe and Hopkins both had 8. While the team battled through a cold shooting night they responded to a hot shooting fourth quarter (17 points) from West Ottawa as they never stopped working hard and working together to secure the win. The JV Team ends the season on the road this coming week with a 5:30 game at Zeeland West on Tuesday and the season finale at the Holland Civic Center against Holland Christian at 5:30 on Thursday.
