JV Falls to the Bank Shots 39 - 38 Junior Varsity vs Zeeland West High School (38 - 39) Loss A cold fourth quarter with three incredible bank shots by Zeeland West resulted in a 39 - 38 loss for the Hudsonville Eagles. The team did not perform to its own standards and will learn from the loss. Too many mental mistakes and turnovers led to the final result. Leading rebounders on the defensive boards were the teams to petite players with Jill Kornoelje having 5 and Jayda Ortiz with 4 out of the overall 24 defensive rebounds. Sofia Beel led the team in scoring with 11 while Brooklyn VanStedum had 9 and Susie Sahtoe finished with 8 to go along with 6 total rebounds. The team finishes it season at the Holland Civic Center on Thursday at 5:30 versus Holland Christian. Girls Freshmen will try to finish undefeated with a game at 4 PM and the Girls Varsity finish their regular season at 7. All games are at the Holland Civic Center.
