Dominant Pitching leads Hudsonville JV Baseball over Caledonia

By Nicholas Huizenga | Mar 31, 2026 2:40 PM

Hudsonville JV Baseball battled its way to a 3–1 win over Caledonia on Monday, leaning on strong pitching and a few key hits to come out on top. Graham Rosema got the start and set the tone right away. He threw four solid innings, giving up just four hits and one earned run while striking out five. He kept things under control all game and didn’t let Caledonia get anything going. Freshman Kaden Condon came in for relief and was just as sharp, tossing two scoreless innings without allowing a hit and adding a strikeout. Together, the two pitchers did a great job keeping Caledonia quiet at the plate. Offensively, Hudsonville got contributions from a lot of different guys. Jack Arens, James Brock, Kaden Condon, Brady Miller, and Graham Rosema each picked up a hit, while Luke Caminiti led the way with two. The big swing came in the third inning when Condon came through with a two-RBI single to get Hudsonville on the board. Later in the game, Jack Arens added an insurance run, and Brycen West made a smart play on the bases to make sure the run counted, giving the Eagles a little extra cushion. It was a well-rounded win for Hudsonville, with good pitching, solid defense, and timely hitting all playing a part. The Eagles will now head into their Spring Break trip to Florida before getting back to action on April 13th for a doubleheader against Lowell.
