Varsity Eagle Baseball lost to Grandville in Game 1 of their DH at Grandville 8-7. It was a wild, hard fought, run scoring game with Hudsy leading 3-0 and then Grandville knotting the game at 3-3 and then the Eagles going ahead 4-3 only to have the Bulldogs score 4 in the bottom of the 5th to lead 7-4. Hudsonville scored 2 in the 6th and then 1 more with 2 outs in the top of the 7th to tie the game 7-7. Grandville would win in the bottom of the 7th with a game winning single to RF. The Eagle offense was lead by Harry Phillips (3 hits, 3 runs, RBI) and Graeme Crooks (3 hits, 1 RBI and a run). Trent Van Klompenberg who caught an excellent game also added 2 hits, double, RBI.
