The EAGLES were hot yesterday winning both games of a DH against Grandville 12-0 and 17-1. In game one Sophia VanKempen threw a one hit shutout and had five strikeouts in the six inning game. The offense was hot pounding out 12 hits, including five doubles and three triples. Kam Stankus had four hits, Lauren Luchies had three, and Tessa Heffelbower had 2 hits. Heffelbower and Luchies both drove in four runs. Game two: Once again our pitching was awesome as Paige Visser and Callie Naber combined on a one hitter. Grandville's first batter of the game got an infiled single and she came around to score their only run on the day. paige picked up the win throwing four innings and allowed the one run and she had four strikeouts. The offense continued to pound the ball as they had 19 hits in the five inning game. WE had seven doubles and one home run. Kam led the offense with three hits and four runs batted in. Seven players ended up with two hits and Lexi Buskey had three runs batted in.
