Varsity vs Alpena High School (13 - 1) Win The EAGLES defeated Alpena in game one of the DH winning 13-1 in five innings. Callie Naber picked up her first varsity career pitching victory allowing six hits and three strikeouts. The team pounded out 13 hits including four doubles and two triples. Sofie Sanders had three hits and three runs scored and Tessa Heffelbower had four runs batted in. The EAGLES won game two of the DH 5-4 on a walk off single in the bottom of the seventh inning. Kendra Moelker picked up her first career varsity pitching victory throwing five innings and allowing five hits, one run, and four strikeouts. The EAGLES fell behind 4-1 in the game, but they battled the whole game and tied the score at 4-4 in the fifth inning on a two run homer by Tessa Heffelbower. Hudsonville pulled the game out in the bottom of the seventh on a lead off single by Lauren Luchies and she went second on an error. She scored the winning run on a single by Josie McDuffee to walk it off.
