The EAGLES jumped out to a 9-0 lead after three innings, but Lowell battled back and chipped away at the lead. Hudsonville pounded out 16 hits, three doubles, two. triples, and one home run. Tessa Heffelbower, Lauren Luchies, and Ainslee Tomaszewski all drove in three of four runs. Heffelbower hit her fifth home run of the season. Sophia VanKempen picked up her ninth win of the season pitching all six innings. It was an extremely cold day but our bats stayed hot. We scored two in the first inning to erase the one run they scored. Once again Kam Stankus and Heffelbower got the offense going. We added nine runs in the second inning and six more in the third to end the game after three innings. Stankus led the offense with four hits, three runs scored, and six runs batted in. She hit two home runs in the game and now has nine in the season. Paige Visser picked up the win, only allowing one hit, no earned runs, and three strikeouts. The EAGLES improved their record for the season to 16-0.
