Hudsonville Girls Track & Field places 4th at the OK Red conference championship with great performances

In one of the toughest conferences in the state, Hudsonville girls had a strong showing. In the 400m, Nore Elenbaas placed 7th, in shot put Rebecca Kooiker placed 6th, in Discus Rebecca placed 4th and Alice Waara placed 6th, High jump Rylee Poll placed 5th, Long Jump Emmy Poll placed 6th, in Pole Vault Kailen McMann placed 8th with a huge PR of 8' 9" (teammate Ellery VanPernis also a huge PR at 8' 9"). The distance crew dominated in their events placing 3rd in the 4x800m relay (only 2.4 seconds off the school record, the girls place 4 of the top 8 spots in the 3200m ( Lexie Snyder 2nd, Cassie Karasinski 3rd, Chloe Purwin 4th and Michaela Pries 8th), but the most exciting race was the 1600m with Chloe Purwin winning the race in the last 80meters of the race with a time of 5:05. Lexie Snyder was 3rd and Cassie was 5th. Next up, Regional meet hosted by Zeeland high school May 15th.
