Varsity Baseball Season Ends at BC in Regional Semi Final

The Hudsy Varsity Baseball season ended with a loss to Byron Center 5-4 in the Regional Semi Final at BC. Coleton Vander Ploeg battled for 6 strong innings providing the Eagles with a chance to win. He finished with 8K on only 2 BBs. Down 4-1 in the bottom of the 6th, Hudsonville scored 3 runs to tie the game 4-4. Byron Center scored their winning run in the top of the 7th inning. Leading the Eagle offense was Graeme Crooks with 2 hits, 2 RBI, Sac and SB. Colin Baugher reached base three times on a hit, 2 BBs with 2 SBs. Kollin Howard and Caeden Kennedy each added big RBIs for Hudsy. The Varsity Eagles finished their highly successful season with 31-8-1 against strong competition. OK Red Champs, District Champs, Milan Champs. Their 102 HBPs broke their school record (99) from last year. The Seniors: Colin Baugher, Ronin Bravata, Bryton Hanke, Caeden Kennedy, Ryer Maskill, Dylan Matz, Evan McCoy, Braylon Miller, Will Pennington, Harrison Phillips, Coleton VanderPloeg, Trent VanKlompenberg will be dearly remembered and greatly missed. Their accountability, toughness, effort and character will leave a lastly legacy for the HHS Baseball Program.
