Paige Visser pitched six strong innings allowing on seven hits, one earned run, no walks, and six strikeouts. Varsity vs Grand Haven High School (1 - 3) Loss Hudsonville faced Grand haven in the regional finals. it was the fourth meeting between the two teams this year. The EAGLES won two of the previous three games during the regular season. Hudsonville scored first in the game getting one run one a walk, a sacrifice bunt and a throwing error that produced the EAGLES only run of the game. Grand Haven scored two runs in the fourth to take the lead and then they added one more in the fifth inning. Hudsonville could not get the bats going in this game. Grand Haven pitcher was really dealing all day. She pitched the first game for them and allowed no runs on one hit over seven innings. She followed that game up with a no-hitter against us in the finals. Congrats to Grand Haven on the win. I have to tip my hat to their pitcher. She threw 14 innings in the two games, allowed one hit, one unearned run, with 24 strikeouts.
