Kentwood- MI, The Hudsonville girls brought the energy to the 2026 West Michigan Relays on Saturday, September 12, putting together a strong day of racing, teamwork and plenty of fast swimming! Hudsonville finished 7th overall with 252 points, battling throughout the meet against some of the best teams in West Michigan. The Eagles collected points in every relay event, highlighted by a pair of exciting top-three finishes and a huge 200 Butterfly Relay championship! The highest placed event of the day came in the 200 Butterfly Relay, where Hudsonville's Charlotte Germain, Emmerson Roberts, Ella VanEerden and Nora VanEerden flew to the top of the field in 1:51.88. The Eagles also picked up a Third placed finish in the 200 Freestyle Relay, as Charlotte Germain, Nora VanEerden, Makenzie Milward and Bailey Bakker powered to a 1:41.01. The time was the fastest 200 Free Relay of the season and is a Division 1 state cut. The 400 Freestyle Relay squad of Taylor Vaiana, Bailey Bakker, Emmerson Roberts and Makenzie Milward finished 5th in 3:52.90. Hudsonville also turned in a strong 5th-place finish in the 800 Freestyle Relay, with Emmerson Roberts, Taylor Vaiana, Reese Schmidt and Klara Wimpee clocking 8:49.62. 400 Medley Relay — 4:16.53, 6th, Charlotte Germain, Nora VanEerden.
