It was a beautiful day at American Dunes Golf Course on Monday and an exceptionally exciting one for Sophomore Mia McClure who had a Hole-in-One on the 158 yard number 15. She hit an amazing 6 iron and was able to watch it roll perfectly into the hole for her first ace! The Captain Sally Invite is a special event in which the team plays to honor a service woman. This year, the Eagles played for Staff Sergeant Kreiner who is a Supply Sergeant for theHeadquarters Company 3rd Battalion of the 126th Infantry Regiment. This year's tournament field of 15 teams were made up of several top 10 ranked for their division, making it very strong competition for the day. The low score of the day was scored by two players from Northville and one Reeths Puffer player, all shooting a 79. Hudsonville finished tied for 7th overall shooting a team score of 392. Going low for the Eagles were Senior Tatum Samaniego (92 - 22nd), followed by Sophomore Mia McClure (98 - T35th). Rounding out the scoring for the Eagles were Junior Fiona Bielecki (100 - T40th) and Senior Raylee Loughin (102 - T44th). Not scoring but also playing was Freshman Brooklyn Malloch shot a 114. The Eagles conclude the regular season play Tuesday at Thornapple Pointe in the OK Red Postseason Event.
