Boys Varsity and JV Cross Country get 3rd at Regionals

The Boys Varsity and JV finished 3rd at the MHSAA regional meet. The varsity is heading to the state meet at Michigan International Speedway next Saturday. The Eagles were tied for third but won the tiebreaker due to Captain Nathan Kunzi (sr) being the faster 6th place over Forest Hills Northern 6th runner. Scoring points and medaling were Brad Smies (jr) and Austin Van Ek (sr). Scoring points for varsity also were Calvin Kasprowicz (jr) and Lucas Dykhouse (sr) and Aidan Vermeulen (sr) , Luke McCarty (jr). It is the first time the guys have qualified for the state finals as a team since 2018. In the jv race the guys finished 3rd. Scoring points and medaling were Charlie Lucas (soph), Ethan Spoelman (fr), Elijah Ouwinga (fr), and Alec Bolles (fr). Scoring points also for the JV were Trevor Mieras (soph), and Judah Molchan (fr). Kohen Van Houten (jr).
