The varsity girls basketball team played a strong team game against the Crusaders of Unity Christian. The Eagles had balanced scoring in the first quarter. Wren Zonyk made a three at the end of the quarter to put the Eagles up 20-8. Unity came back strong in the second quarter and pulled within two points at halftime (31-29). Ryan Vanderbeek went 7 of 8 from the line (18 points), Lakelyn Weber added 17, sophomores Ella Haarsma (13 points) and Anna Hubbard (11 points) also played very solid. Freshman Kendall Baker led the team with great on the ball defense, good ball control, and also chipped in 3 points.
